Enveloped by a jungle of tropical flora and situated on quiet seminyak beach, the oberoi bali is located 15 kilometers from denpasar, indonesia. Ngurah rai international airport is nine kilometers south of the hotel. Set amid 15 acres of gardens that recreate a conventional balinese village, this property features stone-covered buildings tucked beneath thatched roofs. Abutting a serene beach known as one of the most lovely on the island, the oberoi bali places a premium on solitude and tranquility. Breakfast is served in an open-air venue on the beach, and later in the day, guests can enjoy libations and showy sunsets at kayu bar. The property's open-air spa is a great place for relaxation. Poolside rattan chaise lounges overlook the ocean, and complimentary amenities including ice water, sunscreen and ice cream are available. For ocean pursuits, the hotel provides complimentary boogie and surf boards. inside, guests can exercise at the updated fitness center. If business is on the agenda, the resort delivers with its meeting rooms. Underneath colorful umbrellas, fresh seafood and light meals are served at frangipani café, or guests can dine inside under an impressively steep thatched roof at kura kura, where indonesian cuisine features indian- influenced fare. Gala dinner: the hotel will host a mandatory christmas eve gala dinner on december 24, 2008 and a mandatory new year's even gala dinner on december 31, 2008. All guests will be charged for the dinner whether or not they attend. The gala dinner compulsory charge for christmas eve is usd 135 net per person and for new year's even is usd 220 net per person. The charge is not included in the room rate and is payable directly to the hotel upon check-in.
